Where the Pacific Sets the Table
Heightened Senses
Before your arrival, your concierge sends a brief note. It asks simple questions: What do you love? What are you curious about? Is there a dish someone in your group would cross an ocean for? From that conversation, your private chef builds every meal of your stay from scratch, drawing from the Nayarit coast’s finest produce, the morning’s catch from fishermen he knows by name, and a culinary repertoire that moves with complete ease from 5 Star-calibre tasting menus to the most perfect fish taco you have ever eaten. At Casa Xari, the kitchen has no fixed menu. It has only one brief: you.
Our Executive Chef
Casa Xari’s private chef grew up along the Nayarit coast. He trained through the kitchens of Mexico finest restaurants with a single purpose: cooking for the few, not the many. At Casa Xari, he works exclusively for one group at a time, learning your preferences, sourcing the morning’s best catch from fishermen he knows by name, and building each day’s meals from scratch. No printed menu. No set times. No table to turn over. Just food designed entirely around you, served at whatever pace your day demands.
From the Sea To The Table
The lobster on tonight’s menu was in the water this morning. The fishermen who supply Casa Xari’s kitchen work the same stretch of Pacific that runs in front of the villa – and they know what a good morning looks like. Alongside the catch, local markets in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Sayulita provide the vegetables, herbs, and seasonal produce that give each meal its sense of place. Your chef doesn’t order from a central supplier. He sources like someone who cooks for people he knows because at Casa Xari, that’s exactly what he does.
Dine your way
Casa Xari has 3 distinct dining settings, each with its own character, its own light, and its own version of the perfect evening. Your chef adapts the menu to wherever the group wants to sit. The only reservation required is the one for the villa itself.
The Long Table
The Formal Dining Room is designed for the kind of dinner that takes a while to end. A single table for eighteen, beneath cathedral palapa ceilings and rattan chandeliers that warm the light at dusk. Your chef prepares a multi-course menu – ceviche with aguachile negro, a slow-braised short rib with Oaxacan mole, a dessert that combines local fruit with Oaxacan dark chocolate – each course arriving at its own pace. This is the room where the best conversations happen. It holds everyone at once, which means no one misses the moment.
Jungle Dining Terrace
Perched above the garden with tropical forest on three sides, the Jungle Dining Terrace is where Casa Xari’s days begin. Morning light filters through the canopy. The breeze carries the sound of the Pacific from just below. Breakfast arrives unhurried: freshly baked pastries, fruit sourced from the morning market, eggs made to order, coffee exactly the way you take it. In the evenings, the terrace transforms under candlelight into something more intimate – a dinner for eight surrounded by jungle sounds, or a mezcal tasting as the stars come out over the coast.
Beachfront Dining Area
The table is set thirty meters from the water. The Pacific stretches to the horizon behind it. Candles in the sand. A wood-fired setup with your chef working the grill – lobster caught that morning, fish with local chiles and citrus, desserts plated under the open sky. This is the dinner people describe on the flight home. It happens here because you have a private beach, a dedicated chef, and no one else’s schedule to work around. You mention it once. By the following evening, it happens.
